Hide WhatsApp Last Seen
Below are the steps to hide last seen in WhatsApp:
- Firstly, Open WhatsApp on your mobile.
- On the top right corner of the screen. Tap on three dots.
- Select the “Settings” option.
- There you can see six options namely- Account, Chats, Notifications. storage and data, Help, and lastly Invite a friend.
- Tap on the first option “Account”.
- You can see Privacy, Security, Two-step Verification, Change number, request account info, and Delete my Account.
- Tap on the first option “Privacy”.
- Here comes the note” If you don’t share your last seen. you won’t be able to see other people’s last seen”.
- Even though if you want to hide your last seen from others, then tap on last seen.
- There will be three options displaying ” Nobody, everybody, My contacts”.
- Select any one of those three options at your convenience.
- Here “Nobody” refers- you’re last seen will not be seen by anyone and you cannot see any others last seen.
- “Everbody” refers – your last seen can be seen by everyone and also you can see others last seen. Even though if they are not in your contacts if they have your number.
- ” My Contacts” refers – your last seen can be seen only by your contacts and you can see the last seen of them.
What is Last seen in WhatsApp?
Last seen is the one which shows others when you have last used WhatsApp. Online is the one which shows if you are using WhatsApp for now. If a contact is online, they have WhatsApp open on their device and are connected to the Internet. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean the contact has read your message.

Block Contacts in WhatsApp
By Blocking a contact you can stop receiving messages, calls, and status updates from them. The process of blocking contact is given below
Method 1
- Firstly, open WhatsApp.
- Then tap “More Options” it’s nothing but three dots at the right side corner of your screen.
- Go for “Settings” which is the last one.
- Now, tap on “Account “——>”Privacy”.
- After tapping on Privacy select “Blocked Contacts”.
- If you want any contacts to be blocked, then add that contact here.
- Thus from that mobile number or contact, you will not receive any call, status, and messages. WhatsApp Images and videos can also be not received.
Method 2
- Open the chat of the contact you want to block.
- Now tap “More options” —–> select “More”.
- Click “Block” or “Report and Block”. By this report and block option, the number gets reported and then blocked.
Method 3
- Open the chat you are thinking to block.
- Tap on the name of the contact.
- Scroll down. You will find “Block”.
- Tap on it. the contact will be blocked.
The contact which you blocked also well not receive any message or call or status update of yours to that number. Even if you change the profile picture it is not visible to that blocked contact.
If a new number that is not in your contact displays. There it shows three options “Add to contacts”, “Block” and “Report”. If you know it then saves it to your contacts. if you don’t know then “report” it or “Block” it.
UnBlock A contact
- Open WhatsApp. tap “More options” or “three dots”.
- Click on “Settings”, then tap on “Account”.
- Select “Privacy” and —–> tap “Blocked Contacts”.
- Tap on the Contact. There comes a pop-up “Unblock Contact”.
- Click on it. Thus the contact will be unblocked.
- Now, you can send messages, call them and even status updates are also received to each other.
